Attention players and parents AGSA is proud to announce a historical event for 2010 WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT for AGSA Players The World’s Longest Marathon Youth Softball Game for Charity. On June 7th, 2009 The Wrentham Little League, Wrentham, MA set the record of 36 continual hours of nonstop youth baseball as a fundraiser for local charities. http://thelongestbaseballgame.org
This year Alpine Girls Softball Association will attempt to set a new world record…..
On April 16th, 17th and 18th , 2010 The Alpine Girls Softball Players will attempt to break the record for “The World’s Longest Marathon Youth Softball Game”.
Where: Otto Field / Alpine Community Center
When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday (April 16 -18, 2010)
Record attempt: 38 Hour Marathon Softball Game
Participants: AGSA Players ages 5 yrs thru 16 yrs of age.
Fundraiser Beneficiaries: SD Children’s Hospital and AGSA Field Fund. Two teams of 72 players on each team (Red Team vs Blue Team) will be separated by age in groups of 12 and will play in two hour shifts.
Example: The 10U girls from team A will play the 10U girls from team B for two hours, when their time is up, girls from the 12U team A will play girls from the 12U team B for two hours and we will continue to rotate all the age groups every two hours for a total of 38 hours of nonstop softball. All fundraising proceeds will go to SD Children’s Hospital and the AGSA Field Fund. Limited Player Spaces available so email us to reserve your spot today.
