“The Planning Group will be making a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors to fill Seat #2 on the Alpine Design and Review Board.
All interested persons from the Community wishing to be considered for this position should be at this meeting to have their names included for consideration. Discussion and Action.”
THIS IS NOT IN KEEPING WITH THE CURRENT PROCEDURES ESTABLISHED BY THE DESIGN AND REVIEW BOARD AND ON FILE WITH THE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND LAND USE. THIS SEAT IS TO BE FILLED BY THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
(SEE: http://www.sdcounty.ca.gov/dplu/docs/PG/Alpine-DRB.pdf)
“Robert Scheid, Public Affairs Director for Viejas, will be discussing the recent announcement of the new 150 Room Hotel being built on the East end of the Casino, where the Bingo Tent is currently located.
Presentation and Discussion ”
THE COMMUNITY NEEDS TO TELL THE ACPG AND TRIBE WHAT IT WANTS R.E.
TRAFFIC, WATER, SEWER, ETC.
“Robert Citrano, County of San Diego, Department of Planning and Land Use, will be making a second presentation regarding a draft plan for the Forest Conservation Initiative (FCI) lands and the Willows Road area in particular. Presentation and Action if needed”
THE SUBCOMMITTEE VOTED ON THUR TO RECOMMEND THAT DENSITIES BE INCREASED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF ALPINE BLVD BETWEEN THE LAZY A AND EAST WILLOWS. THIS IS BEING PUSHED BY AN INDIVIDUAL WHO OWNS APPROX 240 ACRES IN THIS AREA AND WANTS TO DEVELOP IT. IT IS BEING SUPPORTED BY ACPG MEMBER GEORGE BARNETT THOUGH THE REASON IS UNCLEAR, IT PROBABLY HAS TO DO WITH THE DEVELOPER OFFERING TO DONATE LAND TO THE BCLT FOR GEORGE’S SUPPORT (HE IS THE PRESIDENT). LET THE ACPG KNOW YOUR CONCERNS, E.G. WATER, TRAFFIC, PROPERTY VALUES, ETC.
“Devon Muto, County of San Diego, Department of Planning and Land Use, will be making a presentation regarding changes to the Zoning along Alpine Boulevard. The change in question pertains to the S-90 designation and how or who it might affect. Presentation and Action if needed”
THIS DESIGNATION WILL MAKE IT HARD FOR DEVELOPERS AND REALTORS SELL PROPERTY ON THE BLVD.
“Gustavo Godoy and Stephen Paul, County of San Diego, Department of Parks and Recreation, will be discussing the Alpine Community, Park Land Dedication Ordinance (PLDO) Priority List and the conceptual plans for the Albertson’s Park Land. Presentation, Discussion and Action if needed.”
YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR WISHES KNOWN AS TO WHAT KIND OF PARK YOU WOULD LIKE HERE, E.G. PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT, WALKING PATHS, ETC. BACK COUNTY LAND TRUST IS AGREEING TO MAINTAIN THE PARK AND IS PROBABLY GOING TO WANT RESTRICTIONS. GEORGE BARNETT HAS BEEN ILLEGALLY CONTACTING THE COUNTY ON THIS MATTER WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE PARKS SUBCOMMITTEE CHAIRMAN OR THE ACPG. REMEMBER, THE COUNTY WILL ONLY ACCEPT THIS LAND AND USE DPLO FUNDS (PARKS FUNDS) WITH ACPG APPROVAL.
“A representative for Sol Orchard LLC, will be making a presentation regarding a proposed Solar Farm in the Alpine Community area, MUP- 3300-11-030 (P11-030) MAJOR USE PERMIT (SOLAR). This will be located on High Glen Road – APN #525-130-08, which is approximately four (4) miles South East of the Tavern Road and Japatul Valley Road intersection. Presentation, Discussion and Action if needed.”
“Monthly update from an SDG&E representative regarding a construction update along Alpine Boulevard and the Sunrise Power Link Project as a whole. SDG&E will also be requesting a Permit recommendation from the Planning Group to the County of San Diego to continue working on Saturdays. Presentation, Discussion and Action”
ONCE AGAIN, SDG&E IS ASKING TO WORK THE BOULEVARD ON SATURDAYS. WORD ON THE STREET IS THAT THEY WANT TO DO THIS BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID OF LAWSUIT ORDERING THEM TO CEASE AND THEY WANT TO USE THE EXCUSE THAT THEY ARE NEARLY DONE ANYHOW. THEY ARE RUSHING. NOTE: WE LOSE DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME IN A MONTH. THEY WILL PROBABLY WANT TO WORK 7 AM TO 7 PM. LET THE ACPG KNOW WHAT YOU WANT.
NOTE: SEE ATTACHMENT FOR THE “RULES” THAT SDG&E/SRPL ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FOLLOWING. NOW, GO TO THIS LINK AND YOU WILL SEE ALL OF THE “VARIANCES” THEY HAVE ASKED FOR AND HAD APPROVED BY THE CPUC:

Planning Group Meeting Audio – Submitted by Scott Tuchman: http://alpinecpg.org/minutes/2011-minutes/item/24-september-22-2011-minutes
No Lou, I actually communicate with the Chairman every once in awhile and yesterday he indicated that this had come down from county. So you would have found out about it tonight. Are you ever going to grow up and stop being afraid of the boogie man and things that scare you in the night? Not everything is a conspiracy Lou, but then you are the master at conjuring conspiracies out of thin air.
Gee Mr. Tuchman, how do you know that? There is no mention of it on the Agenda, no email on the ACPG email server (at least that I was copied on), no mention on the Design and Review Board Agenda/Mintues. Were you involved in secret ACPG meetings again, without notifying the public?
Yes! Thank you for the information! Its too bad more people don’t get involved!
I think it is a very good thing for a knowledgeable person to stand and deliver. I appreciate the “heads-up!”
Hey Bob,
You realize that you have an open invitation to attend the ACPG meetings every month and that the agenda is published here on ACN as well as the Alpine Sun and the ACPG website http://AlpineCPG.org. I encourage you as well as all of Alpine to take an active roll, attend these meetings and let the board know what your thoughts are.
Regarding the Design and Review Board nominee, these procedures have recently been updated through the county, the Chamber and ACPG and the new procedures will be presented on Thursday.
Thanks Mr. Russo for letting the community know what is behind the ACPG Agenda items and why we need to make our wishes as a community known.
