Marshall Scotty’s Go-Cart Track Re-Opening Soon!

  • Congratulations to Carrie and Rudy, Yeah! This is exciting , and another business needed out east. Shawn can’t wait to come try the race cars, I
Think he’ll like better than the horses. Thanks

  • Shannon

As long as those people live in that house there I don’t think it will ever be opened completely cause I just called the number a lady picked up she said that the rest of the park that’s part of there private property it’s there backyard they were only able to open the Go Karts I asked her about the owners if what people been saying is true about how mean they are she in round about way made it quite clear there not the nicest she told me we are not a part of them in any way we are just the Go Karts and yes they are now opened. Eh look at it this way it’s better then nothing being opened.

  • Sorry if anyone was offended by my first comment. I just really like race tracks and they keep getting shut down due to people who complain about anybody having fun or making money. There definitely needs to be something better to do than video games and Springer on T.V. I don’t know what I would of done without the kart track in Jamul or Cajon Speedway. I had a lot of fun there with my dad and I miss it. You can still see the kart track it in the midst of the over grown weeds next to Felipes Pizza on the 94 east. The city never did anything with Cajon Speedway’s land either. I hope the new owners of the Marshall Scotty’s track do good with their new business . It should be fun.

  • If you want to really make a hit in San Diego, let’s make a 1 mile asphalt sprint course on the land out there. Roundy round is O.K but if you had a TRACK with turns and chicanes, it would pay for itself in no time at all. I have to drive to the Perris fairgrounds to go racing now at Apex Kart Center. Karting is BIG up north, and there is plenty of men and women in East County to have our own So Cal track down here. My club, the San Diego Karting Association (SDKA) would love to participate by helping with a new karting center. We race at Qualcom in the parking lot, But I think we can do better. If it were drugs or race cars, I would vote race cars for my city. Quit whining about the noise, those of you who control the government. What the hell happened to El Cajon Speedway! I need to go racing. Kids turn strange without motorsports and adrenaline, just look around. What happened ? Boom boxes and skinny jeans ? WAKE UP SAN DIEGO ! Its time to turn on KGB and go to the track..THANK YOU to Rudy Ludeke. Thanks for getting it started man !

I remember marshall scortys wayyyyy back when i first moved to east
County, back in 1989…the go karts opened several years after the main park
Opened…i remember going to marshall scottys for my birthday
Back when i was in kindergarden…i wish they would bring it back so all
The kids could enjoy it again…it could make a lot of money now adays!

  • Kelly – I would LOVE to see some investors with some BIG MONEY remodel the whole park! From what I hear… it need s LOT of work!

  • Kelly

We need something in our town. This is great. Wish they would open the whole park again. I remember bdays, Saturdays, many great memories. OUTDOOR fun is what we need in ths town. Get our kids out of the house & put them outside. Let’s cross our fingers for the park.

  • Used to be a great water slide too.

  • Carrie – Can you send me a grand opening flyer so i can help get the word out? If you don’t have a flyer, just send me all of the info – like Date, Time, Prices, Address ect….. I know that most us old timer know EXACTLY Where it is at, but …for those who don’t, we wanna make sure that they find their way there!

Such a great place for family activities!

  • Martha

I personally would go there at least once daily if it were re-opened. Maybe even two or three times a day if i could make the time.

  • I remember going there too! such FUN memories for all of us East County Kids! From what I have been told, they are ONLY re-opening the Go-Karts, but you never know…down the road they will re-open the whole thing? What a neat place! I would LOVE to see it up and running again, but it would take some serious $$$$$!

  • Erica Wyse

I remember going there as a kid. I don’t remember the go-carts too much, mainly the rides & I think a pool. I wonder if anything else will be opening along with it.
