Junior Individual Documentary Marco B
Junior Group Documentary Jack S and Josh H
Junior Group Exhibit Dominic G and Cole T
At the recent San Diego County-wide competition for National History Day six students from JMMS won their divisions!
They now move on to represent San Diego County at the California state level and maybe go to nationals in Washington D.C. in early summer.
These students spent six months researching a point in history in-depth and preparing either a ten-minute movie documentary or an exhibit showing their knowledge as it related to reforms, revolution and reactions in history. The students also had a lengthy interview and grueling questioning by a panel of experts. They have worked hard to achieve this award.
DONATIONS NEEDED TO SUPPORT THEM
We are asking the Alpine Community to make donations to Friends of STEM at Joan Mac Queen Middle School to help defray the cost of participating in the state finals. We are asking for donations to Alpine Education Foundation to defray the travel costs.
To make a donation send a check to AUSD or AEF c/o JMMS

Any amount would be greatly appreciated!!
