I have been getting emails and Facebook posts from Alpine residents that the Jimmy;s Restaurant in Alpine is NOW OPEN! It is located in the Old VIP Pizza World/Vinny’s Pizza Building that is located on Arnold at the “Triangle” in the center of town, right next to “Chic Boutique”. GO CHECK IT OUT and show your support for another new business here in ALPINE! If anyone knows who the owners are, please let them know about the Alpine Community Network, I would love to have more information on their business to share with the community and send out a complimentary Grand Opening email for them!

It would be really helpful if they could put a menu online. Whether on this or on their facebook.
Not a great experience. $10 for a so-so BLT with stale, old french fry bits is too much. Will go to the sandwich / convenience shop down the street where it’s only $7. Janet’s omelets are more expensive, but the food quality is SO MUCH BETTER. If you can’t make decent fries, don’t start a restaurant. Not likely to go back.
This was such a refreshing change from Janets, where you can actually get a good meal for less than $16 to $20 per person and get a real smile, not a FAKE one.
Have been going since they opened, and things have gotten better each time. Try the steak and eggs for breakfast, it’s great. Like any new place that opens it has to work out the kinks. The staff is very helpful and the place looks fantastic. My family and I have tried different things on the menu and it has always been good. Sometime the cooks a little slow, but its a great addition to Alpine. I’m so tired of having to go to Janet’s because there’s no option, Now there is! Support the new place, give them a chance and tell the owner if there’s a problem. she’s there everyday. You’ll save a lot of money on the meals. In fact I’m going there right now.
Had breakfast today this morning. Was approached by a small server name Gina, very friendly, super nice. Had great experience with food knew how to properly take an order. After 10 mins or so food came out jst marvelous. Pancakes very delicious. Bacon great and thick. Not paper Bacon like dennys serves. No offense Dennys. But overall happy Jimmys is in alpine. We need a new addition in this small town. Show your support.
had breakfast there yesterday, YUK, ordered eggs poached, doesn’t the cook know you drain off the water!! Potatoes raw and undercooked on both orders, microwaved bacon and raw pancake batter. Waitress was nice, they desperately need a new cook, and they were not that busy for this food. We will not be back. Janets is much better.
Have heard from many friends who have tried this place so far. The overall opinion is the food is “so so”, Janet’s food is better and worth the extra money and has much better dining experience. The wait staff at Jimmy’s is not trained properly and the food is slow to arrive. Not much of the food seemed homemade, just a bunch of mixes. The lady owner seemed somewhat upright when one of our meals was sent back, serve hot food and food won’t be sent back! Don’t except much when you go here and you won’t be dissapointed!!!!
Good ol’ American food! They have burgers, steaks, salads, fish, etc… Anything you could possibly want
Can anyone comment on the menu? What kind of food do they provide? Styles etc.
Went there again for breakfast this morning, and again it was EXCELLENT! We talked to the owners and they made a point to tell us that they felt really bad about people having to wait longer then usual for dinner the other night. They were very gracious and I could tell they were being very sincere in their comments. As expected with ANY new restaurant, they’re trying to gauge when their busy times will be so they can staff accordingly. They had a full restaurant that night and the big turnout caught them by surprise. So if you went there the other night for dinner and had to wait a while, please try try them again. They’ve only been open a week, give them a chance. We need good businesses up here like them.
Good Morning,
My wife and I went to Jimmy’s yesterday evening for dinner. I think it’s fair to say that this location just opened and is going through some growing pains.
We will try them again, but if our experience is like last night, unfortunately, we will not return.
Does anyone know the number for the restaurant?
Hi Marcia,
I had heard that it is the SAME owners, but I do not know for sure. I just went there for lunch today and it was great! Lots of room in there! Lots of BOOTHS! I love BOOTHS! The service was great too!
Is the Alpine Jimmy’s realted in anyway to the great Santee Jimmy’s???
My husband and I went there for breakfast on Saturday and it was very, very good! The breakfast tasted like it was homemade and the portions were generous, not to mention reasonably priced. The waitress was a sweetheart and the busboy was super attentive and was always there ready to top off our coffee. Can’t say enough good about them so be sure and check it out when you get a chance.
We went to Jimmy’s today for breakfast I would have to say it was a nice experience, great food, great service. The employee’s are super friendly and the place has a good feel to it. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
