2nd ANNUAL ALPINEFEST

Benefiting the Warrior Foundation – Freedom Station of San Diego

September 8, 2012 – Alpine Community Center

Dear Business Owner;

We are proud to announce the 2nd Annual AlpineFest to be held September 8, 2012.  This exciting event will be held at the Alpine Community Center and benefit the Warrior Foundation – Freedom Station of San Diego.  The Warrior Foundation supports and provides funds for wounded active duty warriors to recover physically and mentally and assimilate back into society.  This is an all-volunteer organization and every dollar raised goes to their programs.  Last year was a huge success because the community of Alpine made it possible to provide a substantial donation for a local breast cancer patient.  It was an inspiring day for all who attended and a lot of fun!

This year’s event will be bigger and better and we are offering you, as a local business owner, the opportunity to expose your business to more people and benefit a great cause.  We hope you will take the opportunity to donate sponsorship funds to produce the event or services, items or gift certificates to be included in gift baskets available for silent and live auctions.  All contributors will be recognized in the program.

Activities planned will be live entertainment, a retail area, games and contests, beer garden and a BBQ.  A food drive will be held to create care packages to be sent to local hospitals and rehabilitation centers.  This is just a sampling of the activities planned.

When you donate to this worthwhile event, you are helping Alpine directly support our Southern California wounded active duty warriors.  These men and women have given so much and we want to say “Thank You”!  Many of these warriors are away from their homes and families, living without items we all take for granted.  Funds from this event will also help make it possible for the warriors, that are able, to travel home for the holidays.  All proceeds and donations will go directly to the Warrior Foundation – Freedom Station, a 501(3)c charity, and are tax deductible.

Please contact Joyce Borden (619-823-7872) or Cathy Dershem (619- 599-5022) for more information or to let us know how you would like to participate.  We can also be reached via email at alpinefest@yahoo.com.

Sincerely,

Joyce and Cathy
Co-Chairs AlpineFest

Note:  The Warrior Foundation is not affiliated with the Wounded Warriors Project.  The Warrior Foundation is staffed by volunteers. 100% of funds raised for the Warrior Foundation – Freedom Station stay in San Diego and directly benefit our wounded active duty troops to make a successful transition to civilian life.
