UPDATE 8-6-12: THEY ARE FOUND! This is the email that I received from their owner – “Thanks so much for your help in listing the notice for Ginger and Lanta. We got a call last night from some folks about 1/2 mile away, and both dogs were hiding out in their backyard. They’d just driven back from vacation, as well. So, we had a happy ending, and picked up both our girl dogs
They were hungry and thirsty, but very enthusiastic about seeing us, and especially our teenage son. Lots of squealing and wagging
Thanks again! – Mitch”

Our dogs got out of our gated yard tonight sometime between 6:30pm and 8pm. We’ve had folks scouring the nearby neighborhoods for them, but have had no luck yet. They are both tagged with their names, and our home and cell phone numbers. We live on Suncrest Vista Lane, behind the Albertsons.
Ginger: This is the larger of the two dogs, at about 20 lbs. She’s blonde with a cropped tail, and is a cross between a yorkie and schnauzer. Her picture is attached. Ginger is the one most likely to respond to her name and come to strangers.
Lanta: This is the smaller of the two dogs, and a mixed breed. She weighs about 10 lbs, and is very shy.
We are on vacation, and due back home on Saturday. If you find our pups, please contact my mother Judy Huggins at (619) 722-6413 or (619) 994-6104 (cell).

Thanks to everyone who helped us look for them!!!
