MOUNTAIN LION ON ALPINE HEIGHTS RD IN ALPINE

MOUNTAIN LION – LOCATION UPDATE: I just spoke to another resident who Just spoke with Sheriff and said that the Lion walked past her house on Willits Rd. Presumably on the way to the water tower.

I just got word from a resident through Facebook that a mountain lion was seen on Alpine Heights Rd. and Fish & Game are on their way. I do not know WHERE on Alpine Heights Rd. yet….. BE ON THE LOOKOUT. I will post more when I get more info
so Fish & Game have been notified!!!! So what are they going to do? Shoot it? Too bad I didn’t get such terrific response for the last 35 years when neighbor’s dogs were killing my sheep and the sheep of the 4-H kids. I sure hope they don’t kill it
A real pretty bobcat wanders through our place on Denova off of Alpine Heights. Have not seen him/her in a few weeks. I wish he would come eat a few rabbits destroying my garden.
probably just thirsty, i hope no body shoots em! After all, they were here first, right? thats what i love about living in the country:)
Hmmmmm, you never know?? I would think people could tell the difference between a mountain lion and a bobcat – they look totally different… but then again, ya never know! That is one heck of a coincidence that you saw a Bobcat around the same time in the same area!
Right after reading your post, a bobcat (not a mountain lion) appeared on our back deck and sat for quite awhile. He appears occasionally and drinks out of our neighbor’s pool. We live on the other side of the water tank from Willets. Wonder if F&G is really looking for a mountain lion or if someone noticed the bobcat? We see two sometimes (never together tho) … one dark and one tan. We took pictures.
