Many people have seen this GIGANTIC LOAD heading up the freeway and have asked what it was. This is what I was finally able to find out:
It is a 500 ton generator for a power plant in Sonora, Mexico. It’s going to Douglas, Az then into Mexico. It will take about take three weeks to get there as it can only travel after 10pm and can only go about 2 miles per hour. It came into the port of San Diego.
The Contractors Cargo super-heavy-haul company, based in Los Angeles, set off from two California ports on circuitous routes to Agua Prieta in the Mexican state of Sonora – hauling some massive pieces destined for an electrical power generating station for the Federal Electrical Commission of Mexico.
