I also saw a dog (shepherd) get hit on Tavern Rd North of Joan McQueen on Thursday night 1/31 in the rain approx 5:30pm. It ran off the road going East into a grassy area I couldn’t reach. It looked as if the hips were injured. The car who hit it didn’t stop. I followed the car and he eventually pulled over to check out his car. I got a picture of his plates if needed.
I went back and forth to look with no luck in finding the injured dog.
I hope this wasn’t Killarney, and you find her soon.

  • Thank you so much for your comment – gosh I hope the dog is ok and the people who stopped were able to catch her! She is supposedly wearing tags though and is microchipped but the owner says she is still missing 🙁

I think I saw this dog Saturday on tavern road just after the alpine terrace apartments headed south. We were on our way home around 7pm when it was raining and a car hit this dog. Dog was still walking but leg was injured. We had our dog and infant in the car and it looked like another car was hopefully stopping for the dog.

  • Thank you but the one lost here in alpine was wearing tags and is also chipped. They also listed her on Pawboost as well.

Look on Pawboost alert. There is a white Shepard like dog shown on Facebook that was found near I

I-5 and Coronado. They say he had no colar but a tie around his neck.
