Long Time Alpine Resident and Contractor Tom C. Dyke Passes Away – December 21, 2019

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Tom C. Dyke.  Tom passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at his home. While we are still in shock, each of us not only grieves at the loss of this remarkable man but also at the loss for his family.

The construction industry has lost a true innovator in the drilling and blasting community. Tom leaves behind a company that only he could have built. For those of us fortunate enough to have worked for and with Tom, you know the void his passing will leave. • George Barnett

Tom Dyke was one of those that worked outside the limelight, quietly supporting orphans, battered women, recovering addicts, survivors of natural catastrophes, needy youth, supporting veterans, environmental conservation, and made significant contributions to the restoration of Christian practice in Eastern Europe when the Soviet Union collapsed.

From years of knowing Tom, I believe he attributed that righteous path to the restoration of his own Christian faith, from being reborn in Jesus Christ due to a family miracle. He was also a very human man; subject to the same foibles as all of us. Balanced out, Tom’s community good deeds out-weigh everything else by far.

    He was a good man!
