SDG&E Wildfire Mitigation & Resiliency OPEN HOUSE Dates in the Backcountry – June 11 thru June 28, 2019

June 2019 – SDG&E Wildfire Mitigation & Resiliency OPEN HOUSE! Come and learn about public safety power shut-offs and how to be prepared for emergencies. Fire season is around the corner and we want you and your loved ones to remain safe. Please join us for one of our SDG&E Wildfire Mitigation & Resiliency Open Houses that are listed below. You will receive information about stocking an emergency kit, developing an emergency plan and designing or modifying the space around your home to resist wildfire. You will also learn more about puclic safety power shutoffs and speak to our Meteorology and Fire Science and Climate Adaption team about what SDG&E is doing to keep the region safe. Please see the flyer below for even more details. Our Open Houses will be from 5pm to 7:30 unless otherwise stated. Coffee with the Community – Alpine: The Alpine Sheriff’s Station and California Highway Patrol are hosting a Coffee with the Community on Tuesday May 21, 2019 from 6pm to 7pm at the Alpine Sheriff’s Station located at 2751 Alpine Boulevard.     1. The owner of the property located at 2928 N. Victoria Drive, Alpine, CA (APN: 402-292-68) has applied for a Tentative Map Time Extension (PDS2019-TPM-21214TE). The project was previously approved by the Director of Planning and Development Services on March 23, 2016.  The approved TM authorizes a 3-lot residential subdivision on a 3.72-acre parcel.  The proposed lots would be a minimum 1.00 net acres in size. Access to the property is from North Victoria Road, a publicly maintained road. The project will be served by on-site septic systems and imported water from the Padre Dam Municipal Water District.  Fire service will be provided by the Alpine Fire Protection District.  The site is subject to the Semi-Rural Residential (SR-1) Land Use Designation, and Limited Agricultural (A70) zoning regulations.  There are no proposed changes to the approved TM design or conditions as part of this TM TE request.  The group may make a recommendation to the county regarding the proposed project.  Presentation, Discussion & Action.
    2. The owner of a business located on Alpine Blvd. has made a request for the County of San Diego to establish a “time-limited” parking zone at 2530 Alpine Blvd. The planning group may make a recommendation to the county regarding this request. Presentation, Discussion & Action

The property includes native habitat, mature shade trees and disturbed land, making it ideal for a mix of preserved land and various recreational amenities.
