Barons Backroom Beer Pairing Featuring REFUGE BREWERY Benefits Alpine Schools – January 30, 2019

On Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 6-8pm, let’s help turn-out Alpine to help our schools. Barons Market will donate 100 percent of proceeds to local schools/PTA’s. The tickets cost just $15 per person for four different craft beers from Refuge Brewery along with great goodies.  100% of the revenue will be donated onward by Barons.

Barons’ Backroom Beer Pairings transform loading docks and stock rooms into food and local brew speakeasies. Friends will gather at their neighborhood store to sample beers from Refuge Brewery with gourmet bites made from the market’s selection of all-natural ingredients.

A select team of Barons taste experts and Refuge Brewery beer makers carefully curated an experience that is full of unparalleled flavor – and easy to replicate at home.

The mouthwatering menu for the January 30 event includes:

  • Baja Crush paired w/ Chicken Taco + Asian Slaw + Spicy Mayo
  • Blonde Ale paired w/ Pizza + Prosciutto + Arugula
  • Grapefruit IPA paired w/ Buffalo Wings + Blue Cheese
  • Blood Orange Wit paired w/ Ice Cream + Dulce de Leche + Barons Pound Cake

This savory selection tastes good, and does good. Barons Market will donate 100 percent of proceeds from each location will go directly to local schools/PTA’s. Our donations will help these schools to keep doing amazing things.

Space for this 21 and up (sorry, no kids!) event is limited, so purchase your $15 ticket today!

DOG HOUSE & BLANKET Donation Drive for DOGS in NEED in Our Back Country – November 2018

Last year over 23 dog houses were donated and distributed to dogs in need in our local mountains!

It’s that time again…cold and snowy in Boulevard, 30 miles east of Alpine in the mountains.  There are still many dogs that need dog houses and blankets to help them keep comfortable during these storms and even in the summer, to protect them from the heat.  If you have a dog house or blankets to donate, I will come and pick them up from you and distribute them as needed up here.  This is the 6th year I’ve done this.  You are helping so many dogs with your generous donations of houses and blankets.

Please call or text me at: (619) 964-1181 or e-mail me at  Thank you for your compassion for the animals. – Pam Lawless

Monetary & Goodie Bag Donations Sought for Home Delivered Thanksgiving Meals for Seniors

Dear Alpine Community Center Members,

The Alpine Community Center has been serving Thanksgiving meals to local seniors for 21 years! In the past we have had financial support from Aging and Independence Services; that help no longer exists. The purpose of this letter is to ask our community for assistance to feed those in need right here in Alpine.

We have a team of volunteers who assemble the meals and deliver them to the homes of seniors. The meal consists of: turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, green bean casserole, fruit salad, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie. We also put together “goodie” bags which contain tokens from our local Alpine businesses.

Please help us with a donation to support his program! We can use monetary donations, and/or things to go in our goodie bags. Your donation is tax deductible and we will provide you with a tax receipt. The senior citizens of Alpine will benefit greatly and will be very appreciative.

Fore more info please contact Cindi Robertson, Operations Manager at 619.445.7330 or email
