STOLEN AMERICAN FLAG: A Message to the Person Who Took It

Stolen American Flag – July 2, 2017 Alpine Ca 91901

This is an open letter to who ever stole our Flag that my husband spent 25yrs defending while serving in the US Navy.  It is the Flag that my Purple Heart WWII Vet father fought for so that we could have the honor of flying it proudly.  My only wish to you is that you display it proudly, let the stars and stripes unfurl and let everyone who sees it know the proud history behind it.  I can only think that you may have wanted a flag to fly and couldn’t afford one so you had to take ours.

Please enjoy it and every time you look at it let it forever remind you of the men and women who sacrificed so much so you can display it.

Stolen from: 318 Arnold Way in Alpine. It is just an ordinary every day looking flag, nothing special, we had put it on our brick gate posts.  We noticed it missing July 2nd and I spent a couple days fuming to myself before I wrote the above message.  On the other hand, we are very glad we don’t display the flag that my father received from the White House or the one we received when he passed.  My husband is a veteran and our daughter who grew up in Alpine is a veteran so we proudly display a flag in honor of their sacrifices.
