3-12-17 FOUND CAT – Deer Creek / Harbison Canyon area Alpine Ca: Found Medium haired, gray, male cat. Looks cared for but has a little injury to his paw. Wouldn’t leave my front yard & then came right on in, very friendly but obviously looking for someone. We are on Hunter Lane in the Deer Creek Community in Alpine.
Update: 3-13-17 It turns out that he showed up in our neighborhood about a year ago. Some people thought he was a feral so they started leaving food out for him. I’ve talked with a woman who took him to her vet for his injured paw last week and is willing to take responsibility for him (including getting him fixed, etc.). But she would like the ad to still go up in case he does have a family that has been wondering about him & wants him back. He is definitely not a feral cat. I work with ferals & this guy has zero fear of people and is easy to handle, even when working on his injured paw. It’s obvious he has been on the street for quite some time, but there isn’t a wild bone in his body.
