(REUNITED) LOST DOG: Male Black & White Shi Tzu “Wiley”, Japatul Rd Alpine Ca 12-29-18 REWARD!

UPDATE 1-6-19 WILEY HAS BEEN FOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a message from his owner – “Thank you to the entire Alpine Community for the assistance and outpouring of support! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! We have been OVERWHELMED just informing our broken hearted family members and the gracious fur angel pet recovery specialist like Babs and Tara here in San Diego that our sweet little Wiley man was found. We finally made the right connection through the power of social media! The Gentleman that rescued him was in the Navy and stationed at Point Loma – 45 miles away! Because of all of you, this #lostdog story has a very happy ending. The Good Samaritan that rescued Wiley kept our little man safe and VERY well cared for and, of course, he won over their hearts. They were a very caring young couple that were afraid to turn this little man over to a shelter (I would have been too before I saw firsthand thru this ordeal how well the @SanDiegoHumaneSociety is run). The young couple finally saw our posts on social media today and called “two minutes after we saw a post about it on Instagram!” Wiley was just hanging out with them, getting treated like royalty. Together we cried and laughed with this couple about all of Wiley’s funny little quirks. I am not sure he is glad to be home?! LOL They were heartbroken to see him go but soooo glad to see him reunited with his brother and us! In the end we gained some very trustworthy dog sitters from Wiley’s big adventure! ❤️ THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! I cannot begin to thank the community for the outpouring of support. I had no idea there was such a large network of volunteers for lost and rescued animals. What an amazing group of people, doing amazing work. We have had our faith in humanity restored through this. BUT. Wiley is in BIG trouble! He might be grounded for awhile! Now it is time to pay it forward to the many volunteers that helped us – as well as the organizations that take such amazing care of our wayward animals. ❤️ THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! #lostdog #lostdogs #founddogs #founddog #bringwileyhome

Original Post: 1-2-2019 Update LOST Dog since 12/29/18
(Red Car on Japatul Valley Rd. San Diego East County), 12/29 at 3:30pm)

We need your help locating some Good Samaritans that rescued our Wiley #LostDog. Please share!!! Little Wiley-man hasn’t been seen since about 4pm on 12/29/2019 when he ran due to gunshots in our rural area.

We were told by our elderly neighbors that a couple of young men in a red car came to their house looking for Wiley’s pet parents. They didn’t recognize him as our dog and turned them away and now are regretting not getting these young men’s phone numbers. The young men (possibly military) had found Wiley 3.5 miles south of the #Julian / #Descanso exit 40 of Interstate 8 on 12/29/2018 around 3:30pm -4pm. Cross streets were Japatul Valley Rd and Vista Esperanza. The young men were in a red car in a group driving up to Julian and probably not from this area of east county (so please share far and wide!).

The two young gentleman stayed behind from their friends to locate Wiley’s home but didn’t make it to ours (we have a gate). The neighbor indicated they were VERY protective of our little man and insistent he get home and they may not turn him into a shelter but hang onto him until they can get his chip scanned at a vet.

Wiley is chipped with Home Again and all info is up-to-date. Hopefully someone can put us in contact? Reward! #Reward #LostDogs

If you know these two, please give them our info so they can contact us direct. Please contact us with any information at or kelli at 602.295.2767 Reward!!!!!

UPDATE 12-28-18 SHE HAS BEEN FOUND! Here’s the amazing story from Babs Frye who is a pet recovery specialist and the owners called her for help – this is what she said happened…”AMAZING NEWS!!!!! SHE IS SAFE! Owner reached out to me and despite it sounding absolutely nuts she did everything I suggested. She immediately went back to the casino and spent the night, cold, outside and with a rotisserie chicken. No dog first night so I told her repeat. It can take these scared dogs time to expose themselves and come out. Night two. Owner is back there and guess who came out of the darkness to meet her? IT WORKS!!!! Don’t Leave, Go Back, Don’t Give up. They come back……..

12-27-18 – LOST DOG Please help!

This morning at around 8 a.m. our family’s dog was last seen in the Viejas area. My uncle briefly ran inside the Viejas casino and had her in the car. When he returned she was gone, we think she either jumped out of the window, or someone saw her and was concerned for her safety. My family is distraught and concerned and would love any help in locating our lost dog.

Her name is Aquila she is about a year and a half. She’s brown and black and wearing a pink collar with spikes. However, she is not microchipped. She can be protective when around people she is not familiar with but she is a very sweet and loving dog, she just gets scared sometimes.

If you have seen her or have any information please let us know….
