“Molly” 1 Year Old Shepherd Mix
Molly is an extremely kind 1 year old Shepherd Mix, I think she is mixed with Ridgeback. This gentle girl weighs 65lbs and is good with dogs, kids and cats. She doesn’t mind sharing her food bowl and is looking for parents who will help to raise her self esteem. Her gentle, sweet personality just melts my heart!
“Prince” Terrier Mix
Prince is a 1.5 year old super fun loving Terrier mix. This 17.6 lbs neutered male also doesn’t mind sharing his food bowl, loves to play with all sizes of dogs, and stays close when it is play time.

Awesome indoor/ outdoor, 2.5 spayed female, Russian blue. She is very sweet but also loves to hunt and chase. She is a very good companion and lover when she is inside and a great hunter/ chaser when she is outside. She would also love to be a social barn cat. That means that if you have a nice barn/ shed for her to live in then she can live in that and hunt away all the rodents. She would also be great as just a indoor only lover/ fun girl. She would be great either way. She has all her shots, tests, spay, she is kitty litter trained, loves kids, and is great with everyone.
This beautiful indoor outdoor 4 year old brown and white tabby loves to hang out with the family. He is a playful and happy boy that would love to curl up on the couch or run around the house chasing a laser. He has a beautiful medium haired coat that has many different colors on it and is extremely soft. He is a neutered male and does get along with other cats and kids.

Happy Cat Rescue is owned and operated by me, Makena Sacks. I rescue the cats from the shelter that are scared, mean, or cats who need help. I started Happy Cat Rescue 5 years ago when I was 7 years old, I am now twelve.
One weekend I noticed lots of cats were missing from the shelter. I heard the workers talking about how they had to put them down. My heart felt sad, and I knew that if my mom could save the dogs, then I could save the cats! I have never stopped saving the cats from that day.
These unwanted shelter cats come to my rescue and move in with my cats in their very own 400 square foot cattery. They have a wonderful view of the lake with lots of cat tree’s, fresh water, good food and lots of toys.
When I take home the scared, submissive, mean, or badly behaved cats they live in a big dog cage in the middle of my cat room to make sure they are healthy, use the litter box, and it allows me to watch them and see what I need to work on. It is up to me to determine what type of home each cat needs to find……indoor, indoor/outdoor, or barn.

Purebred Golden Retreiver
Hercules is a 6 to 7 month old wonderful Purebred Golden Retriever Puppy. He great with kids, cats, and dogs. He learns quickly and focuses when it is time for school. When it is time for play he is the first one to be ready. He has been left free in my office with my cat over night and did not create any damage or potty issues, but he is usually crate trained at night. Hercules is looking for parents who have enough time to continue his training as he grows into a beautiful adult Golden Retriever!!

Two Female kittens looking for a home!
They are both up-to-date on their shots, loving with everyone, love kids, great with other cats and always use the kitty litter box. They are two very close sisters so I am looking to see if they can go to a home together and not be separated. They are very playful, and will make you laugh. They also love cuddle time, and are so soft to curl up with. When I took the picture I had found them happily cuddling. Their so cute!!!

Joey is a 4 year old awesome kitty. Joey has a stunning coat, is up to date on his shots, loves kids, is good with cats and is the BEST family cat you WILL ever adopt. He is the most wonderful and adorable boy that I have ever met. He greets me at my door, and begs me to stay with him at night. He would also be an awesome companion kitty for someone at home taking care of the kids or for someone that just needs some company. Joey would also be a great office cat.
Joey is also very stunning, even though he is just “another cat that needs a home” he is beautiful. He is a Brown Tabby with White, but his coat says that he is more than that.
As you can see Joey has so much potential and I really want the best home for him. He needs a place to all home. A place that he will always stay and call home and a place that he will always love and that will always love him. Joey is not really like a cat, he is closer to a human than a cat. He is just the perfect amount of talkative, playful, and calm. Please, help me get this adorable boy a home!!

Two of them are female and one is a male, they all are less than 4 years old and are just looking for a life of work. Two of them are not good with other cats so would have to go to homes as single barn cats.

Hello,
My family and I just moved from the Japatul Valley area to a small apartment in Alpine. Our country rental of 5 years had sold and we needed a temp place to live in a quick18 days. We love our dogs but know apartment life is not suitable for these playful dogs. We have been trying to train them to be inside dogs by running and walking them numerous times a day but they keep having accidents in the house and getting into our trash. We keep putting the trash up and have treated one for a UTI which may have been a big problem of why she was going inside. I think they are just used to being outside dogs and we would crate them at night without any problems. I have a temp owner for my one dog and am still looking for a place for the black one.
We have been searching for someone in the country to give him a home, or even better, just keep them temporarily until we find a home with a yard. (Sept) The rescue agency where we got them is full and I just can’t bring myself to take him to the shelter. He does jump fences so we used to place them in a tall fenced 1 acre area where they were living good:)
Info on dogs- they are 3 years old, short haired, medium size Australian shep./cattle dog mixes. They are non aggresive, happy, playful, and extremely loving family dogs.

“Marco” The Perfect Puggle!!
Marco is a 1 1/2 year old Puggle who loves to play with toys, and lives to fetch a ball. He weighs 33 pounds, loves all dogs, and people of all ages. This loyal boy never shows aggression or anxiety. He has been wonderful when helping me train dogs with aggression, fear, or just bad manners. Marco is the happiest dog alive and is doing very well with his training. He loves children especially if they will play ball with him. He is housebroken, crate trained, and leash trained including going slowly down steps, and knows to go to his bed and stay there when asked ( as shown in the pictures).
1 Yr Old Female Shepherd Mix
Ultra sweet, and gentle 1 year old female Shepherd mix doesn’t have a mean bone in her little body. She is a happy girl who needs to continue to bring up her self confidence. This gentle girl is looking for a very loving family.

Jessie is approx 4-5 yrs old Tortie female kitty who is declawed and so loves to stay indoors. She lives with dogs, cats and greets you for affection when you come through the door. Jessie is a very clean cat and always uses her litter box.

Layla is a 3 year old Basset Hound/Shepard mix. She just tragically lost her dad, a 28 year old man. She lost her best friend, they were together all the time. She is sad and need to have a loving home. She loves other dogs and needs the companionship. She is Spayed, shots and in great health. Ready for a loving home. Very sweet, loyal and loving, need some TLC to hep her adjust, but if you are around, this girl could be your best friend. Even a foster home would be a start but I am hoping we can find her a forever home now.
