Admiral, the German Shepard

Meet Admiral! This almost 5 year old Male sweetheart loves to play fetch and run around the yard. He really loves his human companions and is a great protector of the home and family. He’s very active, affectionate, playful, and talkative, and loves to fetch and ride in the car. He loves a good cuddle and being near his people. He is neutered, has been through basic obedience classes, listens well to commands, and is house-trained. He’s great with children, men, and women!

If you’d like to meet Admiral please call Christy at 619-838-5321 or contact her here.

“Sassy” the Sweet LOVE BUG

It’s heartbreaking that our Sassy has not found her forever human/family. In January we were so close. A family met Sassy and fell in love, they adopted her but returned her a few days later. The hopes was that she would make an emotional support dog for the families young son. But Sassy did not take to the family cats and began testing limits, her new family was unable to meet her need of a confident dog owner. Despite doing all the right things in preparing to bring her home.

Sassy has now been in foster care 490 days, she is a 7 yrs old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, when we found Sassy she loved her whole life outside chained to her doghouse/ used for breeding. Sassy lives with her foster mom Moira, who is also a dog trainer, in Lakeside, she is crate trained, knows basic commands, she loves walks and being outdoors.

Despite her past life Sassy is a love bug with lots of energy. She is a very smart girl who enjoys learning new things. Her exuberant energy needs a place to run around at times, and with clear direction from her human, she thrives. Sassy needs a home with the right human who has dog experience and who is able to set limits and boundaries with her. She would do best in a home with no cats, and is at her best as the only dog. With the right person who can give her the direction and she needs, she aims to please and has lots of love to give.

If you’d like to meet Sassy please call either Stephanie at 760-815-8464 or Sonnya at 619-249-3649 or email The Miracle Foundation SD at miraclefoundationsd@gmail.com

Barn + Mice = CAT

Since 2015, Love Your Feral Friends has been been placing at risk felines in Barn Cat Programs. We are dedicated to saving the lives of fear cats who are impounded at animal control facilities and, for one reason or another, cannot be returned to their original habitats. These cats are healthy, sterilized, vaccinated, and in dire need of a new outdoor home, such as a barn, stable, garage, or warehouse.

These cats are typically not suitable to be indoor pets and have no desire to be lap cats. These are working cats, former street cats who are used to outdoor life, prefer minimal to no human contact, and who will happily tend to your mouse, mole, chipmunk, or vermin problems for the small cost of a bowl of cat food and water set out daily, and shelter in our garage or barn. And because we spay/neuter and vaccinate these cats prior to them coming to your farm, you never need to worry about endless litters of kittens!

We also have “Social kitties” available for adoption HERE (These cats and kittens are NOT available for adoption through our Barn Cat Program. They have been worked with by our wonderful foster volunteers and are ready for their fur-ever homes. They are looking for indoor only homes.)

For more information on how the barn cat program works, feel free to contact us at 760-542-8509 or email us at loveyourferalfelines@outlook.com

It’s The Pits is a 501c3 canine rescue that coordinates the fostering and adoption of dogs that haven’t yet found their permanent home. We specialize in American Staffordshire Terriers (“Am Staffs”), Staffordshire Bull Terriers (“Staffy’s”), and American Pit Bull Terriers, but will do our best to help all breeds, often by referral to other local rescues that specialize in that type of dog. We work alongside our fosters to give the dogs a temporary and loving home before they are placed into permanent homes. We rescue dogs from various shelters, evaluate them, ensure they are healthy, and then match them with the appropriate family. We take pride in matching the best dog for the individual family that contacts us. We do this by matching the activity level of the dog to the family’s needs, as well as making sure that the other pets in the home work well with the new addition to the pack. All of this is important in finding the forever home for our rescued pets.

chihuahua-rescue-of-san-diegoAbout Chihuahua Rescue of San Diego

We are a rescue consisting of an all volunteer organization where all of our dogs are in private homes everyday. We do not have a shelter and our dogs are not kept in cages. Our dogs are from county animals shelters or from previous owners that are no longer able to care for their dog. All of our dogs are started on housebreaking, however, we do not guarantee that they will be housebroken. We offer education on how to housebreak a dog as well as other information on different situations. Every dog is spayed or neutered, current on shots, dewormed, frontline for fleas and ticks. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!!!

Our Adoption Process… An application is required prior to visiting a dog. This enables us to pick the dog we feel is best for your situation. http://www.rescueachihuahua.com/PDF/application.pdf

6 Puppies Rescued in Campo

These Lab-x puppies (4 girls and 2 boys) were rescued from a negligent situation and are thriving in their new foster home, with lots of love, food and warmth.  They are now ready for a loving, forever home with a caring individual or family.  They are about 3 mos. old, spayed and neutered, wormed and up-to-date with their shots.  Their father was a black Lab and their mother is an Aussie mix.  They are beautiful, healthy, loving and energetic little pups who are ready to face the big world out there with someone who loves and will share adventures with him or her. Believe it or not, they have learned the commands of “NO” and “STAY”, very smart little puppies. They currently weigh about 30 lbs and will probably be fairly large.  Medical records will be provided.

To ensure the right home for these puppies and their potential adopter, an application is requested. Upon approval, a home visit can be scheduled at the requester’s convenience.

If you would like to meet one of these sweet souls, you can contact me, Pam, at 619-964-1181, text or email me HERE.  Their re-homing fee is $150.

As always, thank you for considering adopting a dog who needs a home, rather than buying one from a breeder (and never buy from anyone who would be willing to ship a dog to you without first meeting you and you, them).

Alpine resident seeks help finding a NEW HOME for the CAT of her dear friend who is TERMINALLY ILL….

“A dear friend of mine has recently been given a very short life span and with that I am desperately trying to help find her kitty a home. “Brat cat” (don’t let the name fool you, she’s a lover) is approximately 5-6 years of age, spayed female, indoors only, chunky short haired tabby, quiet but incredibly sweet. She’s always been good with dogs but we are unaware of how she is with other cats, my personal experience with her says she adapts easily…. I wish I personally could provide my friend’s kitty a forever home, however, due to my adopted kitty with major neurological/health issues we are unable to add any animals to the inside of our home. I have asked my friend for a picture of her kitty, unfortunately we are currently unable to get a photo of her at this time (My friend is simply just not well and I cannot push to get a photo quite yet). Please help us!” –

Sassy Pit Bull Miracle foundation 2-2017“Sassy” – Spent her whole life on a heavy chain
My name is Sassy. I am a little over five years old and new to the rescue. I came to my foster home where there are seven other rescue dogs. My foster mom says I am a great dog. I love to run around the yard, snuggle and get belly rubs. I have come such a long way from the life I knew before I was rescued.
My whole life I lived outdoors, with a heavy chain that kept me from being able to go any further that my dog house. I wasn’t allowed to go indoors no matter what the weather. This is all I knew since I was 8 months old. I was used for breeding until I was 4 then I was adopted by a neighbor who grew to love me. But my life was still outside, my dog house and chain came with me. When she couldn’t care for me she posted me on Craigslist ” Free, can still have puppies”. That’s when The Miracle Foundation found me.

I’ve been with my foster mom for about 5 months. My mom says I am very smart and eager to learn new things. I have learned to walk on my leash, and I know sit, down and stay. I also am very polite and ask to go out. My mom has also taught me that a kennel is a safe warm place to sleep at night or stay when she is not home. When my family is home my preference is to be with my humans, go for walks, or just cuddle. I get belly rubs which I enjoy very much.

I have met lots of other animals here, we have three cats and our neighbors have horses which I am getting used to. As for my health, I have been to the vet, and was recently spayed and was brought up to date on all my vaccines. The vet checked me over, I was treated for fleas and a few hot spots. I am very healthy now.

I am looking to find a family I call my very own. A family that will let me love them and allow me to be the dog my foster mom says I am. She says I have a silly personality and am very curious. I love the outdoors but I am very happy to come inside and be with my family, especially when it’s cold. My mom has me on a very healthy diet which has made me lean and strong.
If you would like to meet Sassy please email The Miracle Foundation at miraclefoundationsd@gmail.com.

Must Re-home our Cat
Looking for a loving home for our cat. We are moving to the east coast the end of October. She is a Siamese/tabby mix I am told. 9 years old and we have had her for 5 years. Her name is Mya. Spayed and loves to go outside in the evenings but spends her days inside. Has all claws. Very well behaved.
Email me for more information about her!  ajeverill@hotmail.com

“Chow Chow Chili”

Beautiful 1 year old female pocket size Chow mix.  Chili was rescued off the streets of Tijuana.  Because of her sweet temperament, a rescue group in Tijuana saved her life.  She is a little shy, but wants to know you more very quickly.  She is very sweet, inquisitive and ready for fun.  She is calm, playful and loving.  She gets along well with other dogs and people and wants to learn.  Chili would be great with a family or an individual who is active. She has been learning ‘sit’, ‘stay’ and ‘shake’, and is house trained and knows how to use a doggie door.  She has been spayed, wormed and is up-to-date with her Distemper/Parvo and Rabies shots. Medical records will be provided.   Chili weighs about 30 lbs. A home visit will be conducted to help ensure the right home for her and her new adopter. An application for adoption will be requested.

If interested, please call or text Pam Lawless (Foster Mom) at: (619) 964-1181 or e-mail at Pam.Lawless@GCCCD.edu.
