If you wish to make a public comment at an upcoming meeting, please follow these instructions:

  1. Public comment will be facilitated through the virtual Zoom meeting. Those interested in speaking shall submit a “speaker slip” in advance via email to travislyonacpg@gmail.com by Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 6:00pm.   The speaker slip shall indicate the speaker’s intent to provide public comment at the upcoming meeting.  Speakers may include their name, address, and any other details. Speakers slips should identify whether they would like to make comments on a specific agenda item or for open discussion.  Speakers should be present during the Zoom meeting and utilize the “raise hand” function on Zoom to indicate they are present and prepared to provide comments.  Speakers will be promoted individually to panelists to provide their public comment during open discussion or for a specific agenda item.
  2. Members of the public can also provide comments in writing via email to travislyonacpg@gmail.com. If requested in the email, written comments will be circulated to all group members in advance of the meeting but will not be read aloud during the meeting.

This is an opportunity for those interested in serving on the Alpine Community Planning Group to make a statement to the group about their credentials and desire to serve.  No recommendations for appointments will be made at this meeting.  The Group may make a recommendation at the May 27th, 2021 meeting.  Individuals interested in filling the vacancy may make a statement at this time or submit a written statement to travislyonacpg@gmail.com.  Written statements will be read aloud at the meeting.

ACPG Statement: The Alpine Community Planning Group was formed for the purpose of advising and assisting the Director of Planning, the Zoning Administrator, the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors in the preparation, amendment and implementation of community and sub-regional plans.  The Alpine Community Planning Group is an advisory body only.
  1. Open Discussion: Opportunity for members of the public to speak to the ACPG on any subject matter within the ACPG’s jurisdiction that is not on the posted agenda.

    1. Staff from the County of San Diego Department of Public Works will make a presentation on the Tavern Road DG Pathway Improvement Project. The conceptual plan of the project is to install and improve decomposed granite pathways along the east side of Tavern Road from Arnold Way to Joan MacQueen Middle School to improve pedestrian safety in the area.  The county has requested the planning group review the project and provide a recommendation.  Presentation, Discussion & Action

A proposed road running through your property or effecting your property value will be discussed this evening. This road will cause traffic on Tavern Road, Eltinge, Oak Haven, Marshall Road, and South Grade Road.  It will destroy open land and is actually an avenue for developers to build thousands of homes. This road will require private property condemnation and will cost untold millions of dollars to build. Proposed Alpine County Park VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING – January 14, 2021

VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING Alpine County Park – Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

The County is hosting a virtual public meeting via Zoom for Alpine County Park. You are invited to attend the concept plan presentation for the park, which will be located on 25 acres of a 98-acre parcel of land near Wright’s Field. A link to the meeting will be available at: sdparks.org/publicmeetings.

The County has hosted multiple public meetings, obtaining community input on park amenities and design over the past 2 years. This meeting is to share the concept plan, which reflects a combination of previous community feedback, park professional consultation and Park Master Plan guidance. The concept plan features the amenities that were most desired by the local community.

Alpine All-Wheel Park – Virtual Public Meeting on Thursday, September 23, 2020. All-Wheel Skate Park Meeting: 6pm to 7pm,  Bike Park Meeting: 7:15pm to 8:15pm.

We’re bringing an all-wheel park to Alpine, and we need your input to determine what features will help make this a best-in-class recreation destination. Join us for an online conversation with park staff, park designers and other influencers. Your feedback is important; after a brief presentation of ideas, we’ll open it up for group discussion. On January 26th, 2019 the County of San Diego Planning and Development Services staff held a workshop at the Alpine Community Center and presented and received feedback about potential land use alternatives in the Alpine Community.
